It’s a fun time, but also makes me desire to be sure that I’ve enjoyed every last drop of summer with my family!
This is a great time to get out the school year shopping list, of course. But it’s also a great time to make that final checklist of “summer fun things” that just have to be done either:
a) before school starts
b) before the weather turns cool.
Both are equally important because in the busyness of a new school year we can forget to schedule those “just for fun” things that make the transition from summer to fall so special.
Here’s my simple challenge: reflect on what you’ve already done this summer then consider what you still want to do as a family.
Do you have great memories? Document them.
What else would make this summer even more special? What are the priorities moving into August and September? Make a list and check them off as you go!
God has awesome plans for your family. Each day you wake up with another chance to make memories that will grow and build your family together! Family is where we learn what is most important and where love binds us to God and to each other.
Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord and shun evil.
